'" Inspirational...a seat on Graham Norton's sofa surely awaits " ★★★★1/2 The Reviews Hub.

"Georgie Morrell burns with fire and light."-Whats on Stage.

" "Engrossing...highly entertaining and well worth seeing" ★★★★ One4Review"

" The jokes land and the audience laugh...Morrell is also divisive act as one person’s frank honesty is another’s obnoxiousness. That is the point of her persona." Chortle.

"Great Joan Rivers Style Acidic wit." Liam Beirne BBC Studios Comedy Writer.

'" Riotous, unapologetic and side-splittingly funny, Morrell pours fuel onto the fire, and sets disability taboos alight " Disability Arts Online

" A very engaging storyteller...a bright future for Morrell in comedy." The LIst.

"Georgie Morrell delivers with an infectious playfulness and determination." ★★★★ Spy in the Stalls

"I would have loved it to go on longer but then realized that we were dealing with someone's disability here. I have to admit that if the worst ever happens to me, I hope I can face it with half the strength of character that Georgie showed because then I know I will survive." -London Pub Theatres 1

"Georgie Morrell has the perfect mix of feistiness and resignation" ★★★★The Reviews Hub.

"As soon as Georgie bounds out onto the floor, you can see how she managed to find humour even in this dark period of her life. She gives off waves of positive energy and seems like a woman very much in control of her audience, engaging everyone so confidently."'-Metro Blind Sport.

"Still, the caustic stand-up, known as "The Duchess" to her nearest and dearest, isn't seeking to be pitied or patronized...a series of touching snapshots of a family rallying round itself, The Morrell High Ground is also a mea culpa and veneration of the NHS, with the comic denouncing changes to disability benefits as they grow ever more tangled in bureaucratic red tape." Fest Mag 2017.

Testimonial- When we heard that Georgie Morrell was playing the Yorkshire Fringe in 2018 we were thrilled. As a charity that supports people with sight loss, we know that it can affect you at any age and Georgie’s personal experience of this gave her a direct connection to our work. We were thrilled when she agreed to be a Wilberforce Trust Ambassador because we want to project a younger and less fusty image of sight loss. We believe that losing your sight should not stop you from living the life you want for yourself however devastating this loss can be. Georgie is a great role model for us as we work with a lot of younger people who feel disempowered by some of the patronising and dated attitudes that they come across when explaining their blindness. Her great humour and general feistiness is an inspiration to young women (in particular!) who are going through similar experiences and they can take heart from how openly she talks about it. Georgie has been kind enough to perform a benefit gig for the Trust along with some of her fellow comics and this has filled a gap for our fundraising and reminded people that we are still out here helping people. We love her!-Jane Carter-Head WilberForce Trust.
